Welcome to the Northwest Indiana Dental Society

The Northwest Indiana Dental Society (NIDS) is a non-profit professional organization for member dentists in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties. NIDS is a local component of the tripartite association of the Indiana Dental Association and the American Dental Association. NIDS provides monthly continuing education meetings throughout the year, access to community service, leadership opportunities, a voice for legislative advocacy in organized dentistry, and a fostering of professional and personal relationships.

NIDS Legislative Forum

 

On October 21, the NIDS Board of Directors welcomed local dentists and legislators to the annual Legislative Forum. This annual event provides us with a unique opportunity to advance organized dentistry in the state of Indiana.

Our presenters, Shane Springer from the Indiana Dental Association and Dr. Steven Holm from Airport Road Dental Associates led this important conversation highlighting frontline insights regarding oral health delivery in our community. Together, we discussed the regulatory challenges facing our practices and collaborated on policies that protect patient safety.

We are so appreciative of Senator Ed Charbonneau and Representative Mike Andrade, Representative Carolyn Jackson, Representative Randy Novak and Representative Jim Pressel for taking time from their busy schedules to spend an evening with us.
