NIDS 5k Run/2k Walk for Oral Cancer Awareness

The Northwest Indiana Dental Society hosted the 5th 5k Run/2k Walk for Oral Cancer Awareness on September 23, 2023 at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, Indiana.  
The weather was great and we had 129 participants and over 20 volunteers helping with the event.  Thank you to all the great sponsors that made this possible:

NIDS Golf Classic
August 11, 2023 at Briar Ridge Country Club, Schererville, IN

The annual Northwest Indiana Dental Society Golf Classic was held at Briar Ridge Country Club, Schererville, IN, on Friday, August 11, 2023. All the golfers and sponsors had nice weather and a good day to connect.

Operation Stand Down, April 2023

Our event at Indiana University Northwest Hygiene Clinic was a great success! We were able to screen 35 military veterans to assess their dental needs and get them assigned to a local volunteer dentist for treatment. Thank you to the doctors that conducted the complimentary exams that day: Dr. Steve Holm, Dr. Mark Mihalo, Dr. Fred Rather, Dr. Bruce Smith, Dr. Herb Yekel and Dr. Kevin Thornsberry. Special thanks to all the IUN staff and students that ensured a smooth transition from waiting room to imaging stations to the exam areas. We appreciate you all.
